Since 2010 FORTSCHRITT is back in Germany.
And since 2016 FORTSCHRITT is officially located in QINGDAO, CHINA.
Come follow us for a virtual tour on what we do...
The CIAME is Asia’s largest agricultural machinery exhibition with 1,900 exhibitors from 14 countries and 130,000 visitors from 60 countries. This year the CIAME was held at the brand new "Qingdao World Expo City International Exhibition Center". The exhibition is the annual meeting point for dealers, manufacturers and importers of agricultural machinery. 90% of all business deals for agricultural machinery in China are annually concluded at the CIAME. For the first time, we presented our new HW-60 loading-wagon. By the way, we have made the third place for the best booth.
We visited Yingshang and tested our baler machines to the bones. Yingshang is an agricultural county; Wheat and rice are the main crops, with a million tons of food produced each year.
Yingshang is part of the Anhui province, which is a landlocked province in Eastern China. With a population of 62 million, Anhui is the 8th most populous province in China. It is the 22nd largest Chinese province based on area, and the 12th most densely-populated region of all 34 Chinese provincial regions.
Here is a small impression of one of many tests for our high-density-baler-machines we made last year. We were in Xiangzhou Town, which belongs to Zhucheng in Weifang (Shandong Province, China), a few kilometers southwest of Qingdao where our production is based. Wheat straw was tested. The conditions are comparable in no way to Germany; In China, there are very different climatic zones. From the type of straw or the length to the degree of humidity, it is important to find out how far our machines have to be utilized, adjusted or modified. Therefore German standards are limited; a machine for the Chinese market, must be able to do more, endure more. We thank our team Arne Krueger (Production Manager), Zhang Qixian (Team Leader), Lucy Xin (Translator), Julia Su (Sales Manager), Yu Guangming & Diao Xiaowei (Workers). We also thank Maschinenfabrik Stolpen and your employees Thomas Bergmann (construction) & Stefan Jacobi (construction).
Here are a few impressions from Wuhan, where we attended last year's CIAME (China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition).
This model from our production shows at the touch of a button in which countries the KOMBINAT FORTSCHRITT has exported in GDR times. An accompanying panel provides information about which models were produced in which quantity and in what year.
Here are the pictures of the FORTSCHRITT evening in the historic railway depot in Gera, Thuringia from the 27th of January.
Speaker Günter Klengel from Neustadt in Saxony (since 1964 Kombinat Fortschritt Agricultural Machinery), talked about the development of the combine harvester E 512 in his lecture "From Stalinez to E 512 to Arcus".
Our CEO Andreas Spiegler spoke about the latest developments in China. Afterwards a question-and-answer- session with former employees of the FORTSCHRITT KOMBINAT took place.
This digital tour gives a small impression of our new production. In addition to the clock line for our machines, there is also a warehouse for spare parts, a repair room, a quality checkpoint, a level for welding and robot welding, a level for packaging as well as a dispatch department. There are numerous meeting rooms throughout the complex, which now includes 4 large halls. In addition, our designers, draftsmen and graphic designers sit on the upper floor.
